Despite having studied graphic design many years ago, and growing up with a pencil always in my hand, I have never really done much painting. I struggled with watercolour, mostly on holidays, and found it incredibly frustrating. About a year ago I was coaxed into a painting group led by an excellent artist, Kevin McKay. And I love oil paints. There is so much to learn but it is a wonderful way of being totally present.
